In Memoriam: Marvin L. Meyer

Marvin L. Meyer

We regret to inform you of the recent passing of Mr. Marvin L. Meyer, 94, father-in-law of Frank Taddeo, Vice President of Church & Chapel Metal Arts.

He passed away on Tuesday, January 31st, in his residence at Clare Oaks in Bartlett. He is survived by his loving family, including children Karen (Jeff) Meinertz of La Crosse, Wisconsin, Jean (Jack) Titolo of Richton Park, and Connie (Frank) Taddeo of Bartlett, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores, parents Rev. Henry & Esther (nee Bauer) Meyer & sisters Wilma Meyer, Betty Jung & Carol Seale.
Mr. Meyer served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific Theater and retired after working as a mechanic for 42 years on the Rock Island Railroad. He was a lifelong member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Country Club Hills and loved gardening and golfing.

Visitation will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at 4247 W. 183rd St., Country Club Hills on Saturday, February 4th, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment following at Skyline Memorial Park in Monee.
