INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – On April 9, 2024, the membership of the Casket & Funeral Supply Association convened for its Annual Business Meeting, where several agenda items were presented and discussed. Among those was the selection of a new President to lead CFSA. The association chose Charles-Olivier Dumont of Victoriaville Casket Company of Victoriaville (Quebec), Canada. The leadership at Victoriaville supplied CFSA with some detailed background, which we are proud to share with our friends and associates in funeral service supply in particular, and professional funeral service in general.
After graduating with a business administration degree and receiving his professional accounting designation, CPA, Charles-Olivier spent four and a half years as an intern-auditor at a regional accounting in Victoriaville.
Charles-Olivier has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and when he joined the company in 2015, he started sharing his passion for the family business with his colleagues for whom he has a great deal of respect. His arrival has given a fresh impetus to the whole team and the arrival of Charles-Olivier represents the fourth generation of the Dumont Family.
His first role in the company was as a financial analyst for 2 years. Then he was appointed Business Development Assistant Manager in 2017, and as Vice President, Sales and Business Development in 2020. Today he now holds the position of Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer.
In his early career, he had the experience of going through the most recent strategic planning of the company and had the opportunity to take part in laying out the strategic decisions to shape the future of our organization. Charles-Olivier’s participation was instrumental in the successful negotiations and acquisition of ASL. Like his father, Charles-Olivier looks forward to growing the business and meeting the ever-changing needs of today’s funeral professionals.
Charles-Olivier already involved himself in many community initiatives ranging from health care to sports. Hockey is a big part of his life, and he is also on the board of directors of the Victoriaville Tigres, a Canadian Hockey League.
He has been engaged to his sweetheart Sabrina for 7 years. Charles-Olivier and Sabrina are the proud parents of two boys, Elie, and Lou.
