From a news release from the NFDA…

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! It’s time to get revved up for the 2015 National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) International Convention & Expo. Taking place October 18-21 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind., the NFDA Convention will offer funeral service professionals unprecedented opportunities for learning, networking, and discovering new products and services. Registration for the 2015 NFDA International Convention & Expo is now open.

While Indianapolis is known worldwide as the host of the legendary Indianapolis 500 auto race, there is much more to this blossoming city. The city’s award-winning dining, family-friendly attractions, inspiring historical sites and top-notch entertainment have earned it the top spot on USA Today’s list of top convention cities. The New York Times included Indianapolis on its list of “52 Places to Go in 2014.”

The lineup of engaging workshops will offer strategies and tactics to help funeral professionals build profitable and thriving businesses that compassionately serve the bereaved. Workshops will address technical skills, business management, the value of ceremony, cremation, marketing, and community outreach. NFDA has invited highly-knowledgeable and successful experts, including John McQueen, Dan Isard, John Calllaghan, Brad Rex, Lacy Robinson, and Sharon Gee-Mascarello, among others, to lead workshops at the 2015 Convention.

The NFDA Convention also features the world’s largest funeral expo. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet with vendor partners whose innovative products, services, and technologies will help them run efficient businesses focused on meeting the diverse needs of families seeking meaningful funerals and memorial services. Many exhibitors plan to introduce new products to the funeral service profession at the 2015 NFDA Convention.

The NFDA Convention attracts more funeral professionals than any other gathering in the world. This diverse assemblage from throughout the United States and around the world offers unequalled opportunities to network and exchange ideas.

A lot of networking happens during workshops and in the Expo Hall, but NFDA’s exclusive social events give attendees an opportunity to cement new friendships and renew old ones, all while enjoying the city of Indianapolis. Make plans to join conference attendees for the Welcome Party, hosted by President Rob Moore and his wife Pat, at the Indiana State Museum, and The Fifth Quarter, a closing celebration hosted by 2016 NFDA President Bob Arrington and his wife Judy, at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts and the 2012 Super Bowl. Not to be missed are the Funeral Service Foundation Golf Classic at Brickyard Crossing Golf Course and the Funeral Directors Under 40 Party at The Rathskeller, where lively German Oktoberfest-style fun awaits.
