Vera Lee Garments and Woven Remembrance recently announced that they purchased Rita Barber of Abilene, Texas. Jennifer Branton, CEO of Vera Lee, said, “We have always had a deep respect for Rita Barber. They are a fine company known for their quality, craftsmanship and exemplary customer service. While we are honored that they approached us with the opportunity to purchase their business, their longtime support of the funeral industry will be greatly missed.”
In discussing their decision to sell, Lee Hampton, president of Rita Barber, said, “We have always had tremendous respect for Vera Lee Garment Company. They offer beautifully designed styles which have broad appeal to the families served by funeral homes.
