The CFSA officers, board of directors, and staff recently announced that our Fall Conference & Trade Show will move to Columbus, Ohio, for 2018! This unique and highly successful annual event for the funeral supply industry will be held on Monday – Tuesday, October 29-30, 2018, at the gorgeous, 4-Diamond Columbus Hilton Downtown.
Based on valuable feedback from members, exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees, the decision to move the event is designed to rejuvenate the Fall Conference with a new city and venue. Having been held annually in Indianapolis for many years – at the Adams Mark Hotel, Crowne Plaza, and since 2012 at the JW Marriott Hotel – there was solid support to “change up” the look and feel to provide more value to everyone.
Ohio’s capital city is full of beautiful neighborhoods, a critically acclaimed food scene, and top-ranked attractions. It is the second-most populous city in the Midwest, following only Chicago, and easily accessible to our members.
The Columbus Hilton Downtown, recently opened in 2012, is located in the vibrant Short North Arts District and is within walking distance to over 300 dining and entertainment venues. The striking ballroom for our exhibit hall is spacious and open, affording us the attractive benefit for our exhibitors and sponsors of having our attendee luncheons in the same room as the trade show. The hotel offers a contemporary presence in the eclectic hub of Columbus, and includes a $1 million art collection featuring original works from more than 100 area artists.
