In Memoriam: Frances E. Messmer McCombs

Frances E. Messmer McCombs

We regret to inform you that Frances E. Messmer McCombs, 89, passed away on May 13, 2017, at Heritage House of Connersville in Connersville, Indiana.  She is a former employee of CFSA-member company Mac Machine & Metal Works in Connersville, and was the mother-in-law of CFSA Past President John Malone (Janet), president of Mac Machine.

Frances was born in Connersville on July 5, 1927, to Hershel Clarence and Ethel Frances Fisher Messmer. On September 15, 1948, she was married in Brookville to Paul W. McCombs, who died November 5, 2015. She was employed for several years as a secretary to Paul, who along with Gene and Jeannie Krepp owned and operated Mac Machine.  Frances loved to travel and enjoyed many winters in Naples, Florida.

Funeral services were held at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Connersville, with Pastor Doug Barton of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed in Dale Cemetery, section A. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fayette County Humane Society.
