Funeral Service Bids Farewell to Michael Quinn

An article excerpt from Funeral Service Insider (www.funeralserviceinsider.com).

Private equity firm Kohlberg & Co., which recently sold Aurora Casket Co. to Matthews International, apparently knows that a good man is hard to find, which would explain why they’ve hired Michael Quinn to be president and CEO of another one of their companies: AM Conservation Group – a leading provider of services and products to utilities and municipalities.

Quinn had served as the president and CEO of Aurora Casket Co. and had helped the company transition to new ownership after it was bought by Matthews. Prior to his tenure with Aurora, Quinn was the chief financial officer of United States Infrastructure Corporation, a leading provider of infrastructure locating services for public utilities, and vice president and general manager of Invisible Fence, a division of Innotek Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic training and accessory products that provides behavior solutions for pets and sporting dogs.
Mandy Dlugos, director of marketing communications of the memorialization group of Matthews International, says, “We greatly appreciate Michael Quinn’s engagement and contributions as a special advisor during the first several months of the Matthews Aurora integration. As has been reported, Mr. Quinn has taken a role as CEO of another Kohlberg-owned company, and we wish him much success. The new Matthews Aurora leadership team was announced and put in place in September. Mr. Quinn’s advisory role was scheduled to end in December, and will not result in any other leadership changes.”

“I am thrilled to join an industry-leading company with such significant expansion potential,” Quinn says in a news release. “AMCG has strong relationships with major utilities and energy efficiency programs, and I am excited to help AMCG work with its customers to continue to provide best-in-class services and products while successfully executing its strategic vision.”
