We continue the series this month with Hoffmann Machine Company, a recent sponsor of CFSA events. Here are the responses to our questions from Hoffmann’s General Manager, Markus Hueber.
When did your company first join CFSA, and what do you value most about your membership?
We joined CFSA in 2012 to familiarize ourselves with the history and member companies of the American casket industry. Having designed, built, and installed custom machines in a large wood casket manufacturing plant, we were looking for a way to meet other manufacturers who might benefit from our machine-building expertise. CFSA has given us a great means of reaching more casket manufacturing companies, and the friendly, helpful environment at the shows and seminars make doing business with CFSA members a real pleasure.
Why has your company become a sponsor for CFSA?
Any industry association relies on its members for support, and the growth and success of an association is directly related to the support from member companies. We are members of a number of other associations in the woodworking industry, and we have always believed in supporting the groups that help our customers succeed. And having our name and products in front of potential customers is certainly a welcome benefit of sponsorships.
Tell us a little about your company.
Hoffmann Machine Company, Inc., was founded in 1990 to serve as the North American distribution and service center for Hoffmann GmbH Maschinenbau of Bruchsal, Germany. From our location in North Carolina we service customers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, as well as international clients in South America and some Asian countries.
We stock our dovetail joining machines, many accessories, motors, and spare parts, as well our unique dovetail fasteners (Hoffmann Keys) in all lengths and sizes. Aside from equipment sales, we offer technical support before and after the sale, and we perform in-depth demonstrations for visiting customers in our workshop.
Our parent company, Hoffmann GmbH, is present around the world, with subsidiaries and importers in England, France, Italy, Spain, and Australia. They also work with distribution partners in South Africa, Japan, China, and Russia, and new countries and markets are being added on a continuous basis.
