This comes just in time to kick off the second season of the podcast. We’re starting the year off with a discussion with Jeanette Hiemstra, president of Keith M. Merrick Company and CFSA’s current president; Jeanie Turner, executive at Astral Industries and a current CFSA board member; and Pam Soper, general manager of Tiedemann-Bevs Industries and the first-ever female recipient of CFSA’s prestigious Lifetime Recognition Award.
We talked with them about CFSA’s upcoming Women in Leadership Forum, to be held in conjunction with our Annual Conference & Trade Show in April. It will be a time for women in the industry to network and share their knowledge, while setting goals and getting specific, actionable take-aways. Speakers include Leili McMurrough of Worsham College of Mortuary Science, discussing Changing Demographics in the Funeral Industry; and Charlotte Westerhaus-Renfrow of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business discussing Resilience and Grit for Women in the industry.
The forum will be held Monday morning, April 25, 2022, before the main conference kicks off that afternoon, and will require a separate $149 fee. Registration is open now, available through both the conference exhibitor and attendee registration forms.
