CFSA Annual Conference & Trade Show, inaugural Women in Leadership Forum set for April 2022

The Casket and Funeral Supply Association of America’s Annual Conference & Trade Show will return to Indianapolis April 25-26, 2022.

The fully in-person event will feature its signature trade show along with professional development and networking opportunities alongside industry decision-makers.

CFSA is excited to announce a brand-new opportunity this year: the Women in Leadership Forum. CFSA
President Jeanette Hiemstra of Keith M. Merrick Company and board member Jeanie Turner of Astral Industries are spearheading the pre-conference event to bring women in the industry together to network and share their knowledge.

“At a time when more than 60% of mortuary science students in the United States are women, we want to
create a regular space to develop and foster women on the supply side of funeral service as well,” Hiemstra said.

The face-to-face business and networking time provided by CFSA’s Annual Conference & Trade Show has long been essential for funeral supply companies. Seeing the need among its members to return to in-person after COVID-19 forced so many event cancellations in 2020, CFSA held its conference in-person in April 2021 – in full cooperation with local and state health officials and in-line with CDC guidance.

“As the trade association for the funeral supply industry, our members count on us to provide a safe environment to forge and develop those essential business relationships and connections,” said CFSA Executive Director & CEO Tim Murphy. “We are proud that last year’s event did not lead to a single report of illness and we will continue to work with health officials to provide just as secure of an environment in 2022.”

CFSA has hosted 15 of its last 16 annual conferences in Indianapolis and is proud to return to Indy’s JW Marriott in April.

Registration is now open for exhibitors & sponsors as well as attendees. The Women in Leadership Forum is open for registration through both forms. More details about the event and any related health and safety precautions can be found at CFSAA.org/2022.
