Membership Categories

CFSA offers 3 membership categories:

1. REGULAR INDUSTRY SALES

Annual dues are paid based on the gross sales of caskets, funeral supplies and/or services sold in the preceding year, in accordance with the schedule of assessments officially adopted by the Association. Gross sales are defined as total annual sales within the death care industry, less sales taxes and returned merchandise, if any. No other exclusions may be taken in calculating gross sales for dues purposes. Regular industry sales include burial garments, burial vaults, funeral-specific motor vehicles (hearses, limousines, specialty professional vehicles); caskets, embalming chemicals, and miscellaneous merchandise and services sold to funeral directors and funeral homes ; and caskets, casket parts, hardware, finishes, coatings and coverings, textiles, steel or other supplies and services sold to casket companies . This category applies to those above-cited companies whose annual sales in the death care industry accounts for 75% or greater of their total sales.

These members are all voting members of the Association.
